Independence Day

This 4th of July was a little different then years past.  Because of the hot dry weather that a lot of the country was experiencing, personal fireworks were banned for us this year.  Even though there were no  bright lights and loud noises coming from drive ways and neighborhoods, we were able to celebrate and have some fun with friends just as well!

We talked and played with friends,

Ate well

(This was actually a winning dessert, made to look like the real thing)

And bounced and slip and slided and got wet through the evening.

After we left our friends BIG block party, we took OUR version of fireworks and lit them up

Ok, so they were not really fireworks, but they did light up, and we had fun playing with them!

Of course boys being boys, they pretended they were swords and light sabers

and other things that boys can think of

Edie, on the other hand, pretended they were pieces of jewelry

We all had a great holiday, and loved sharing the day together!
