New Decade, New Adventures

Just after our move, we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. We can't believe that 10 years has already come. We have done and gone through so many things together that it seems weird that we have not known each other our whole lives. But yet, it still seems like it was yesterday that our lives became one. We have had many adventures during these past years, some have come with tears of happiness, and some with tears of sorrow. We have found out that life is very unstable, and very unpredictable, but the one thing that never changes is our knowledge of a very loving Heavenly Father, and His Son our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ, and the gift of the atonement they have given all of us. These truths make our love stronger and our commitment greater, so we can fulfill our lives in happiness and reach our goal as an eternal family.


It seems really fitting to start a new decade of our lives living in a new house, that resides in a new state, and is in a very different part of the region as what we are used to. So now the adventure continues on, it is an open book ready to be filled. Are we ready for it, the answer can and should be a joyous "YES!"

We've Arrived

We are now in our new home in NW Arkansas. The last few weeks have been a blur of activity, and craziness. With moving out of our duplex, to moving into grandma A's house for a few days, to driving the moving van (Dean and his brother)/going to AZ to visit Grandma and Grandpa D for a few days(Edie and the boys), to moving into our house and trying to make it our home, to getting accustomed to our new surroundings, and finally trying to keep our sanity as we try to live our new life.
We have been here a week and are really happy to be here. We love our new home, even though we (Dean) has had to put a lot of sweat equity already into our yard. Our neighbors are really nice and have kids that Connor and Bryce have befriended already. We heard before we moved, that in the south the people are very nice, for what we have seen so far this is true.
We have also heard about the interesting weather that this region has to offer. Well, let us tell you, this is very true. A few nights ago we witnessed this very thing. A very intense storm of rain, strong winds, lighting(seemed like every second) and thunder, came rolling on through. We also heard that hail the size of quarters could be possible and tornadoes forming could be as well. Needless to say Edie was on the bed (at 12:30 am) glued to the TV watching the play by play of the storms path while the storm was fiercely blowing by. Luckily our power never went out, our home was safe and our kids still remained asleep. We know that this was just the first of many that we will see, but it did feel nice to see the storm subside and we (Edie) could finally get some sleep.
